新潟混声合唱団は、2012年9月22日（土）に開催する第42回定期演奏会のメインステージで、「Mass From Two Worlds」（二つの世界からのミサ）を演奏いたします。

この曲を演奏するにあたり、作曲者であるAriel Quintana（アリエル・キンターナ）氏より以下のようなあたたかいメッセージを頂戴しました。

I am humbled and honored to have my work “Mass from two worlds” presented in this concert.
As I watched in horror the devastation of the earthquake and tsunami I could not think of any way in how to help the people of Japan. Now, you have made my desire a reality. I hope that my music will help sooth the pain that such tragedy brought to all of you.
I know your strong spirit and deep sense of care for one another will enable you to rebuild and go on with your lives. Please accept my music as a humble offering to the lives lost and let it be of encouragement for you now and for the future.

新潟混声合唱団の皆様、指揮者 永澤健様

　このたびの演奏会で私の曲「Mass From Two Worlds」を演奏くださること、身に余る光栄に思います。
　さきの地震と津波による東日本大震災の惨状をテレビなどで目にした時、何とか日本の方々のお力になれないかと思いながら、どうしたらよいか分かりませんでした。そしていま、新潟混声合唱団がその願いを叶えて下さることになりました。私の音楽が、あの悲惨な出来事で皆様が受けた苦難の癒しになれれば、と願っています。
　日本の方々は強い志と他を思いやる譲り合いの心をお持ちであり、それによって復旧復興を成し遂げられることでしょう。大震災で亡くなられた方々のために、また皆様の励みになりますよう、私の音楽を役立てていただければと心より願います。
